“BEIJING CHINA” Painting by TRACEE is a representation abstract during the China Olympics BEJIING CHINA” is inspired by the Dance that was part of the Opening Event. Tracee was suffering from Tinnitus (and failure of the use of her left hand) and in 2008 the artist suffered from a gonging sound that resinated in her ear from the music of the Olymics / Tracee went to the doctors the next day afraid to tell the doctor of what she heard the night before /she had made some extra notes for the doctor and he simply said: “does the noise increase as you lie down?” Tracee said “yes, the noise was louder when I tried to sleep.” The doctor then said, ” I think your going to be in tip-top shape when you leave our office today.” / after 15 minutes in the office the noise stopped after a large petrafied (hardened like a stone) plug of wax was removed from the ear that was pushing on the inner-nearves in the ear canal which caused servere nerve damage and interfeared with nerves in the brain… The Artist was beginning to think that she could be experiencing some type of Autism before the wax was removed and thought that many people would find it difficult to imagine what it would be like to actually preceive the noise that she was once plaged with. / The nerves in the ear canal are one of the central components of perception in the brain and also control the equalibrum. / The equallibrium controls a great deal in the brain / the painting was create at the worst time when the noises were painful / the painting was an attempt to create a soothing experience / the Tinnitus was actually-

CHILD’S PLAY 4’x5’
Water Colour with Pastel Overlay wasCreated to cheer the artist after the death of herfather in 2003. Tracee had suffered great trauma during this time from partial loss of the use of her left hand and was not able to live and work in the Chicago area where her many supportive friends were. The loss of her father was difficult as she was not around her many friends or an office enviornment to support her as her fathers death took on more importance than she ever realized would happen. Painting this work brought vivid colour into her life everyday during the cold bleek month of January after her father passed and the artist set it by her bed side on completion to brighten her morning as she awoke.
Years later, after a trip to a Los Angeles fine arts conference Tracee began to work again with the effects of colour- to the spirit / the mind / and the mood after the purchase of new products on the marketthat were vibrant and easily applied even with her failing hands.
The painting CHILD’S PL:AY is just the beginning of the artist facination with imagery, colour, and espirit! Currently- CHILD’S PLAY is not for sale though it has been the center of a major exhibition in the Chicago area…

This was painted for my cat who paints
it is a representation of fish -the cat and i had fun drawing the lines as she watched the lines applied onto the paper as if the lines were a ball of string unwinding.
Though perhaps thought she was to be preparing for a tin of tuna?
MY CHICAGO
Italian Stained Glass it reminds me of the vibrant city I made my way in with all the beautiful sky tops and sale boats. MY CHICAGO was created in 2004 after a lesson of fresco making that I taught to a class of youth that were concidered to be at risk. They loved the fresco class and I had plaster of paris to spare.
